Taking a break
and working on my favorite little princess. It was good practice for the other painting since I know Niki so very well and could identify the underlying colors and work on the top layers. It's also nice to have an excellent photo to work from.
Painting progresses
So far, so good. I think... Those are just the base colors on the centre and right-hand dogs and will be nearly completely covered by the next coat (or two). They're going much more quickly than the first one.
Carrying on this afternoon. I just wish my darn deltoid would quit bugging me. It's tough trying to paint while holding my elbow on an over-turned ice cream bucket! Another chiropractor appointment is definitely in my immediate future.

Shiloh's progress
Well, it took a while, but I finally got to a point where I was happy with the colour for Shiloh. I've got a bit more "tweeking" to do, but I'm going to let her rest for a while and proceed with the next dog in the painting.

Recent drawings
Getting back in the swing of drawing has been really satisfying! Why don't I do this more often??? Oh yeah... because it completely takes over my life for hours/days at a time. (but it's FUN!)
